The following is the list of documents that are to be presented to avail a housing loan in India for purchase of any property. These documents should be in English and counter signed by the consulate.
  
      

Copy of valid passport & visa.
	Work permit attested by the Embassy or the employer. Incase employed in the Merchant Navy : a copy of CDC (Continuous discharge certificate).
	Salary certificate for the last three months, appointment & increment letters. Income proof for both fixed & variable income. And for those employed in the Merchant Navy their last contact would be considered.
	History of past occupation.
	A General Power of Attorney holder in India.
	Letter from the bank stating the type of Account and the Account Number, the balance in account and rate of the current exchange of currency.
