The Puravankara Group was established in 1975 in the city of Mumbai, in response to the growing need for quality housing and commercial space in metro areas. Puravankara Group had the distinction of being awarded the Finaliste, International Prix d' Excellence - 1998 for its project "Purva Park" in Bangalore. This was in the group residential category, by FIABCI, Paris, which is the International Federation of Real Estate.

Purva Graces, another one of Puravankara's prestigious projects, recently received PA 1 rating by the Credit Rating Information Services of India Limited (CRISIL). PA 1 rating indicates the highest ability of the developer to specify and build to agreed quality levels and transfer clear title within stipulated time schedules.
