 The Ranka Group was started in the late 40's as a modest jewellery showroom in Mumbai. After having made a successful foray into jewellery business, the group turned its attention to textiles and made its presence felt in that field especially in the South - Bangalore, Erode and Coimbatore. Soon, plans were afoot to diversify into property development business and expansion in this arena was rapid. Later, the Rankas further diversified into the fields of Civil Contracts for Commercial and Industrial buildings, Interior decoration, Housing Finance, Marketing of Office Automation and Communication Products, Infotech Solutions, manufacturing of Cement Adhesive "Perfect" Bricks on an automatic plant imported from U.K. The company has maintained a growth oriented profile with professional management and prudent business practice.
